Feel Local
Feel Zanzibari
Named after an aromatic flower, Langi Langi Beach Bungalows was founded over 20 years ago by a local Zanzibari entrepreneur with the goal of providing guests with an authentic Zanzibari experience. The hotel is situated in Nungwi, right on the beach, in one of the best locations on the island.
Our Sea view rooms boast uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean that I personally believe are unmatched, a sentiment echoed in reviews from various agents and guests. Additionally, we offer Standard Garden view rooms that capture the essence of tradition and locality, complete with Makuti Roofs and the quintessential Zanzibari bed. Imagine sitting on the veranda or balcony, overlooking the garden where small animals frolic and the melody of birdsong fills the air.

Seafood restaurant also serves local Zanzibari and international cuisine is very famous for our traditional Zanzibari dinner. Considered to be one of the best on the island offering some of the best traditional Zanzibari food with a variety of Seafood from the ocean. While having Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner you can also enjoy the stunning views of the Indian Ocean and dhows sailing in the ocean.
“Unimpressed by the restaurants along the beach we head back to the hotel where the manager has a theory to explain the dearth of dining: most of the places on the sand cater for Italian tourists (that explains the ubiquity of pizza). Instead we’re advised to go to Langi Langi, five minute’s stroll away. Lit by soft lamps and overlooking a satisfying curve of ocean, it serves zingingly fresh, expertly cooked grilled octopus and lobster tails for around £9 per main.”
